Which Weather Station Should I Buy? -- The Davis Vantage Pro2 Cabled Unit is easy to setup and gives consistent and accurate readings of Barometric Pressure, Temperature, and Humidity about every 2 to 10 seconds. The wind sensor reports the wind speed and direction readings also at 2 to 10 second intervals. If you plan on using our TrueWind(TM) ET Prediction, the wind sensor interval can make a difference. It does not have fan aspirated sensors which would be nice, but not mandatory. We have an Aspiration Kit, (FS-7747, $99.95) where you can convert it to a daytime fan aspirated unit if you wish. The sensors are solar powered. It has a separate console for viewing the weather making it a standalone device. The console runs off of 3 "C" batteries or it comes with a 110 volt adapter. The Vantage Pro was designed to be out in the weather 24/7, so it is okay to leave it out in stormy weather. The outside sensors attach to the viewing console with a 40 foot phone type cord included. You have to purchase a Davis WeatherLink data module (FS-6510SER, FS-6510USB) to connect the console to your PC. This adds $159.95 to the cost if you want to use the system with your PC and the RaceLog Pro software. It's no secret that we have the best paging system on the planet. Ask any racer who has one! Our Family Software (FS-1240, $569.95) Paging System is guaranteed to work every time. There are very good technical reasons for that, but we don't want our competitors to know what they are doing wrong. So, as much as I'd like to tell you, I can't. We are also the only company that offers a paging package for each of the above weather stations. When you purchase one of our Trailer Station Paging Packages, you can rest assured that you have the best equipment that money can buy. We have always been the innovators in this industry and I guarantee that will never change. --
