Pro 4 - Paging Left and Right Lane Data Simultaneously One
of the things that RaceLog Pro 4, PageAire Pro 2, and our Family Software Paging
System allows you to do, is to page both Left and Right Lane Predictions. Also,
you may page more than one vehicle on the same pager. Once RaceLog Pro 4 has been
installed to your hard drive and registered, you may have multiple copies of the
program on the same drive, all running at the same time. Here are the steps required
to set up your system to page multiple lane or multiple vehicle predictions to
one pager: This
is easy, so don't get lost, okay? Here we go: 1.
Create a new folder on your hard drive and call it whatever you like, for example:
"RLP Lane 2"
Then copy ONLY these 3 files from the folder, "RaceLog Pro 4",
into the new one: RaceLogPro4.exe User.ini RACELOGPRO.HLP
Close your new folder and then create a new Desktop Shortcut to
the RaceLogPro4.exe file in the NEW folder. Name the Shortcut whatever you like,
in this instance we will name it, "RLP Lane 2", the same as the
new folder. The new shortcut and program in this new folder will be used for the
other lane or another vehicle. 2. Double-click on the new Shortcut to
start the new copy of RaceLog Pro 4. It will automatically Open the last Database
that you used. Next, Click on the menu item ET Prediction. In the
ET Predictor, change the Pager number to "Pager 2". Next, change the Pager Working
Directory (PWD) to: c:\PageAire Pro 2\dest2 Then
close the program to save these settings.. 3. Start PageAire Pro 2,
add your pager CapCode under Pager Names, "Pager 2". Set Destination 2
to the new folder that you created in Step 1. Close the program to save these
new settings.. Now the setup for both lanes is complete. This
is how to start the paging: 1. Start PageAire Pro 2 as usual.
2. Start the original copy of RaceLog Pro 4 as usual. 3. Open the ET
Predictor and start paging to Pager 1 as usual. 4. For the other lane
or another vehicle, then start the new copy of RaceLog Pro 4, select the base
run for the other lane/vehicle, and begin paging to Pager 2. Both messages
can arrive on the same pager and will be identified with the prefix P1 or P2,
for Pager 1, or Pager 2. That way you can tell which message is for which car
or lane. Setting this up may sound like a lot of work, but it's not.
If you are familiar with using Windows, it shouldn't take more than 1 or 2 minutes
of your time. Have fun!
